    • Dashboard rattles in first month of ownership!

By Manu on Wednesday, May 22, 2024

      2.0
Although this is a practical and spacious vehicle, unfortunately I found the quality control to be very bad. My dashboard started rattling after just one month of owning this brand new car and less than a thousand miles on the odometer. After 6 days at the Lexus dealership they said they fixed the issue but it wasn't fixed. Now I've taken it back to the dealership and it's been 2 days and they still haven't figured out how to fix the issue despite installing their Lexus supplied insulation/ dampening kit which hasn't solved the issue. This is very unfortunate and I'm starting to regret switching from Mercedes which treated me very well for 11 years and probably would have treated me well for many more years but I needed a bigger vehicle.
    • Best seats of the suv I owned

5 star rating but rating only allows up to 4 stars Owned bmw x5 Mercedes suv ( forget model but is biggest one, Porsche macan turbo Toyota Highlander (2012) Acura mdx type s The tx350 Best seats out of all them for cushion comfort. The ride over pa bumps is excellent with tx350, The x5 had v8, which surprisingly the 4 cly turbo Lexus engine have no complaints. Finally, my search is over We wanted a suv w elbow space and roomier interior space. We test drove grand highlander back to back. Jumping from tx350 to grand. The road noise on grand Highlander was terrible, the steering was aweful, and pa road bump was awful. Lots of wind noise on Highlander. Didn’t mean this as a comparison but will save u the trouble if u are thinking of the grand as an alternative.. it is not..When I went to pull door shut on Highlander seem like the foam on the driver door would pull out. Not saying don’t get the grand, but look for a certified tx350. Have 5,000 miles on suv. If u want a comfortable ride, comfortable seats, nice power and elbow room then get the tx350. We got the premium for memory driver seats for both of us. Nothing has broken, no rattles, brakes very nice. One feature is automatic braking when normal driving. I stopped yelling at wife in this suv for tailgating. This is not the same feature as automatic cruise control..this is driving and looking at cell or radio and car in front slows down or stops this suv will automatically brake but u still have to apply brakes at 10mph for final braking..wonderful option for tailgaters like my wife..thanks Lexus for this feature
    • Great family car for long road trips

We just bought the 500h in luxury and couldn't be more happier. We love the power of the engine, the quietness on the road and the composure that this vehicle has in turning. My daughter loves the third row as she tends to lay there during the trips. My wife is a happy camper with this vehicle, and so am I. At first I was interested in the gx but after considering that options we chose the TX as we are not much of an of roads people, we tend to do road trips and spend 99% of the time on roads, so this vehicle is good for that. As well unlike the gx and lx this has a good amount of space in the back which is great to add bags and what not without the need of losing the third row. Now this review has just come from the first road trip I did, from NYC to Burlington Vermont and she handled amazing. I did not feel no squeek as other mentioned but granted it's still relative new, It feels solid for me. The technology I'm okay with it and used to it since my wife has an nx and we have no problem with the head up display nor the door handle. One thing that the TX did not had was a nob to change the modes from normal to sport but I added on the head up display on the right side of the wheel buttons, all good with that. The seat are good for my family and me however they are more tight and I guess a bigger person would not feel as comfortable on the driver's side. Other than that this vehicle fits all our families need and we are happy with the purchase, and yes it's expensive but for our family it's worth it, read it again worth it!
